Mrs. Phillip embodies the passion of the Spanish language and culture with her fifteen years’ experience teaching and practicing the language in both the private and public sectors. As a former Destination Information Services Coordinator for the Tourism Development Company (TDC) of Trinidad and Tobago, Mrs. Phillip has provided translation services to Hispanic tourists. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree (Honours) in Spanish from the University of the West Indies and has also completed studies relative to the science of languages as evidenced by her Linguistics background. She also possesses a SIELE (Servicio Internacional de Evaluación de la Lengua Española)) Certificate promoted by the Instituto Cervantes, the Universidad Autónoma de México, the Universidad de Salamanca and the Universidad de Buenos Aires, which certifies her degree of Spanish proficiency. As a registered Teacher Ill with the Ministry of Education of Trinidad and Tobago, she reiterates the importance of learning the Spanish language through language immersion and hosts annual educational immersion tours to Latin American countries. Her other areas of expertise include Project Management and Communications.
